Recognition statements

I, acting freely and with full awareness, recognise the Constitution of the Republic of Kurdistan as the supreme national document, the legal foundation and the framework for establishing an independent and sovereign state of Kurdistan. I support the establishment of the Republic of Kurdistan and the protection of national sovereignty, territorial integrity, human dignity, liberty, equality, justice, democracy and the rule of law. I regard myself as a participant in and steward of the Constitutional Society and commit to contributing through education, dialogue, research, public communication, voluntary service and institution-building toward establishing and strengthening the institutions of the state of Kurdistan. I affirm my commitment to the constitutional procedures and mechanisms, the dignity of the Constitution, respect for differences of opinion, and responsible civic conduct.
